I appreciate you taking the time to learn more about me. I am a National Board Certified Teacher and began my career in 2000. My first few years were spent in elementary education where I taught third grade and fifth grade, respectively. In 2004, my journey then took me to the upper grades, where I now teach high school social studies in the northwest Chicago suburbs.

I hold a bachelor degree from Knox College in elementary education and a masters degree from Concordia University Chicago in Curriculum and Instruction.

My passion and love of teaching might never have been realized without the kindness of my high school math teacher, Mr. Warren Myers. Without even knowing it, he sparked something in me that has grown into the teacher I am today. Thank you, Mr. Myers. I am truly grateful.
